Public displays of affection are frowned upon (for both male lover and straight couples), but on the streets off Silom Road, by the famous Patpong night market, gay tourists and locals mix openly by a number of open-air bars lining Soi 4, the city’s “pinkest” street, which is really a tiny alley.
