How did the group come about?
Well, in , I left my marriage of 20 years as I realised that I was same-sex attracted. I was very distressed, disoriented, and in depend on of support, and a friend directed me towards ‘Healthy Gay Life’, the (then) local health supplier for the gay group. HGL was helpful to me as a married man. It was unmistakable though that, as a group, some very specific support was needed.
